Every great club needs a centerpiece. Ours is brand new.

The best clubs check all the boxes — a great course, a welcoming and active membership, and a place to gather. Overlooking rolling fairways and Tellico Lake, with the Smoky Mountains beyond, the new clubhouse is just such a place.

Designed by Kuo Diedrich Chiu, the Atlanta firm behind clubhouses at Lookout Mountain Club, Memphis Country Club, The Dunes Golf and Beach Club, The Landings, and Reynolds Lake Oconee. Several are Club of the Year winners. Ours is in good company.

WindRiver does things without compromise: the course, the marina, the homes, and now the clubhouse.

A magnet for members sunrise to after sunset, there are three expansive levels opening to panoramic lake views, with fine and casual dining, inviting spa spaces, a best-in-class fitness studio and the well-appointed golf shop. A party barn and, in design, the Golf Villas round out the campus.

The architecture echoes the comfortably casual environment of the surrounding lake country, as well as that of our members’ homes. It’s a 28,000-square-foot clubhouse, warm and unfussy, with lakeview lounges and dining rooms, and studios for fitness and movement.

A grand stone hearth and fireplace —the ideal place to warm up.

A welcoming dining room complete with fireplace and vaulted windows that overlooks the 18th green and the event lawn.

Outdoor dining areas, complete with a fire pit and views across the course.

A pub and lounge just off the dining room for light snacks, cocktails, and that all-important recap of the day’s golf game.

Terraces for lounging that overlook our beautiful golf course with dramatic rock outcroppings in the background.

Locker rooms thoughtfully designed around gathering and socializing, with generous wet areas and steam rooms.

Fitness room with the latest cardio equipment and weights, a movement studio, a spin studio, and a refreshment station.

Single and couples' treatment rooms for therapeutic massage, red-light therapy, steam showers, saunas, an experience shower, and hot and cold tubs.

The Kitchen

The dining experience at WindRiver is always a blend of creative exploration and old favorites - contemporary, farm-to-table, and changing with the season. The wine list leans West Coast and European. The culinary team strives to cater to member preferences and surprise them with a new menu every week, based on what is fresh and that makes the most of our abundant local farms.

Dining is an all-day affair at the clubhouse — where members and guests comfortably meander from the bar and lounge to the main dining room, and back again. The main dining room is surely the centerpiece. It’s an active and engaging space, anchored by a sleek two-story fireplace, with an expansive cantilevered terrace that spills outside with views that rival the menu, as well as a private dining room and wine cellar.
